Dr. Christine Kirby, DVM
Dr. Christine Kirby graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in 2006. She completed an Equine Internship at Moore & Company. Her early career included practice stops in Cache Creek, Pemberton, and Whistler before she moved to Vancouver Island. Her professional focus is small animal medicine, and she is a former practice owner.
In 2017, her family found and secured an acreage on the Oyster River as a planned retirement location. After spending time at the property, a decision was made to expedite the move. Dr. Kirby, her husband, and their two children relocated to the island in 2021.
Her professional interest is small animals, specifically cats and dogs. Her focus areas include preventive health, dentistry, and ultrasound. She works with owners to help them provide care for their pets.
Outside of work, Dr. Kirby and her daughters are avid equestrians. She is actively involved in Pony Club, where she volunteers to participate in and help run shows and events for young equestrians in the valley. Weekends are often spent riding, jumping, and exploring local trails with her girls.
